Civitas Design is interested in the physical components that support the communities in which we live. With a particular focus on independent schools in New England as examples of such communities, Civitas seeks to understand their individual missions, the composition of their campuses, and how their buildings support what they do every day. We believe that with a deep understanding of many institutions, we can provide better insight to our clients so that they can understand their own community.

 

We approach every project by first understanding the client, the place, and the problems to be solved. We understand that for most clients, building projects are not the primary thing that they do, but the successful completion of a project is very likely critical to supporting their mission.
